Nookic runs on your device. There is no Nookic account, no Nookic server, and no analytics. This page is short because there is little to describe.

What we collect

Nothing. Nookic has no account system, sends no usage statistics, and contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising, or tracking code of any kind. We do not know who uses Nookic, how often, or what is in anyone's collection.

Your collection

Archived posts — text, images, tags, and the original link — are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, they are stored in your own iCloud account under your Apple ID; that is between you and Apple, and we have no access to it.

Your logins

To archive posts, you sign in to a site inside Nookic's own web view, exactly as you would in a browser. Those cookies stay in Nookic's storage on your device. They are never transmitted to us, and there is no server of ours that could receive them. Resetting a connection in Settings ▸ Accounts removes them from the device.

Tags and AI

On devices that support Apple Intelligence, tags are produced by a model running on the device, and nothing leaves it.

If you choose to add your own API key for a hosted model, then a post's title and text are sent to that provider so it can suggest tags. Images and video are never sent. Your key is stored in the device keychain, kept separately per provider, and used only with the provider it belongs to. Remove the key and hosted tagging stops.

Network access

Nookic connects to the sites you archive from, to the content hosts those sites use for the pictures in the posts you archive, and to a model provider only if you configured one. There is no other network traffic.

Settings

Your preferences are stored on the device using the system's own settings storage. They are not sent anywhere.

Children

Nookic is a personal archiving tool with no accounts, no social features, and no content of its own. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with its date.
